Maisons-Sur-Mer 908 - Ocean View - Shore Drive

This condo was great! Only negative was that some of the building was under construction which we were not aware of but did not really affect us. Location was close to everything we needed. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Most agreeable. Premier location, great facility security. Clean, quiet, and welcoming. The rented unit had a well stocked kitchen, was attractively and functionally decorated and was most relaxing.

Very clean and upscale property, with reasonable prices. There must have been a lot of riff raff that plagued the area within the past which caused the upsurge in strict rules. The rules are only a problem if you are not a considerate, family-friendly type of person. There are two ways to keep those people out: high prices, or strict rules. If you bring your children here, you won't have to worry about thugs swearing and twerking while falling out of their bathing suits and smelling skunky. You WILL enjoy a very nice group of people who like quiet evenings, respectable attire, and family-appropriate conversation.

The room was very clean and well stocked. Furniture was clean and comfortable, beds, linens, and pillows were of good quality having been recently replaced less than a year ago (end of 2021). Balconies were very large and furniture was in good shape.

The complex is shaped like a "Y", with the bottom part of the Y pointing toward the ocean. Room 908 is on one of the diagonal branches at the rear of the complex. So you have a good view of the ocean and pier. You will get sunrises on this side, but not the sunsets (I recommend viewing them from the beach).

The beach is clean, groomed nightly, and sparsely populated during the off-season. There is a freshwater drainage outlet on the beach which is not safe for children to play in. But there is no foul smell or other concerns. There are also lots of shells for kids to stash away in your luggage.

The outdoor pool was somewhat warm (enough for kids to swim in briefly) but the tiki bar was closed for the season (we came in October).

The location was perfect- close to myrtle beach restaurants and sky wheel park, but far enough north to not be crowded. It is close to barefoot landing, although most of the tourist stuff was closed for the season.

Overall, very good place for your family to enjoy during the off-season, good value for the money.

This rental was great!! The location is quiet, not a lot of traffic and nicely kept up. One of my favorite places to stay. I don't like all the extra fees and the advertising is misleading. 162/night and then the added fees made this rental actually 293/night. Overall great place if you can stand the added fees.

Unit was very nice with beautiful views and large balcony. Furniture was not super comfy but ok. The only negative was shower had some mildew which I easily removed myself with a makeup remover wipe... so cleaning crew should make sure it's clean other than that it was very clean.... great updated unit

The check in was fast and efficient. We used the drop box for check out.

We LOVE this neighborhood. The view from this unit is gorgeous. The baths are updated and the kitchen is a full kitchen. We didn’t cook but it seems spacious. It is not an open floor plan if that matters to you. We like the split bedrooms and the nice closet space. The living space clearly was designed for the owner and not as a rental but it worked for our needs. Overall, it was a good location. We brought our own chairs and beach items but they had some items in the closet ... boogie boards, cooler and such which is always nice.

Overall this is a FANTASTIC location, great complex, the condo itself is in a great location as well. Safe, quiet, great amenities at the complex. However, the condo itself did not have some very basic items that I would have expected to have available, if you like to cook while on vacation, this might not be the unit for you. There were no kitchen towels or wash clothes, or dish sponge, no liquid measuring cup, limited measuring spoons, only two Tupperware containers with lids, and other little things. The cleaning company really should be doing a better job, there was trash left in one of the bathrooms, the kitchen floor was extremely sticky (I imagine from cleaner they used) and uncomfortable to walk on. Could not open sliding glass door in master bedroom (handle was taken apart, although I did tell them they did not need to come fix it). Living room furniture is not the best, not extremely comfortable, but if you don't plan on spending a lot of time in that room not a big deal. Again, overall it was good, but if you are picky, this might not be the place for you. I would go back, although I might try to find another unit before this one, but would be willing to stay here again especially if they took care of the items above.

I spent summers at Maisons sur Mer as a child and wanted my family to experience this amazing property. The unit was clean and had everything we needed. There were plenty of cookware and dishes--and even a cooler and beach chairs. Picking up the keys was seamless. The beach front access was super easy. And we loved grabbing a drink at the pool bar. We fell in love with Myrtle and Maisons sur Mer all over again.

We wanted to get away to see some water and just a change from being cooped up in the house. The condo was awesome. Most impressive was the continuous balconys that flowed to all rooms. Restaurant downstairs was great and delivers to your condo...and access to the beach was easy and plenty of room to social distance.

Beautiful view, direct access to beach, actually had a few days when it was warm enough to enjoy a long walk on the beach. On the days it wasn't, almost always had sun and an outstanding view.

The condo was clean and had nice amenities. Took some effort to learn how to get the TVs to work properly. Hard to open the front door due to the thick carpet and the two double beds had no support slats underneath so they sunk low on the edges; our Two kids, twenty-somethings are skinny so it was not due to their weight. Those were not really issues and we enjoyed the stay and the beautiful views from the balcony.

What a great condo for us four. We loved the beach front location with fantastic views. The condo is very well furnished, comfortable and was the perfect size for us four. I think we lived on the balcony and by the pool. Great frozen drinks from the poolside bar! We will definitely have to plan another stay here!

My family and I have stayed in this condo twice. Each time was great. The people at the front desk where you check in are very nice and courteous . The check in is also quick. The condo is very neat and clean. There’s great views and the beach which is also not as crowded as the other beaches, and has easy access. It’s also not too far away from the Myrtle Beach strip that everyone likes to visit. I recommend this place for anyone who would like to visit Myrtle Beach.
