Barefoot Turtle - 3rd Row - Cherry Grove Section

This house was so beautiful decorated with beach themed decor. Plenty of space in and out. The kitchen was fully stocked making it perfect for family meals. The walking distance was easy to get to the beach every day. Grill was perfect, outdoor shower, laundry room were clean.
We will return again next year!!

Everything is as pictured online. Walk is not bad to beach and is close to grocery store and good places to eat. Neighborhood felt safe. Yard is just big enough to let the dog out but otherwise useless. Many of the tvs did not work because they were ancient and were not able to process the firestick streaming services. Atleast one remote was missing from downstairs tv. Basically we could get only 2 tvs to work which isn't a big deal anyway. Grill worked pretty good and wasnt too dirty. Screened porch screening on doors was ripped up when we got there which we didnt use anyway. Firepit was smashed and rusted out so basically is useless. Both the firepit and the screened porch are something we hadnt planned on using anyway so they did not affect out vacation. Overall would recommend especially for this price point.

This house was chosen first for the dog policy which was a welcome option for dog lovers (more than one dog that are 50-55 lbs). It is a close walk to the beach and they should also advertise close to public handicap access. I had 2 people with canes and this was a nice surprise to see how close the handicap access was, a board walkway with about 7 steps and then a blue matt without steps was right down the street.
The house is decorated very tastefully, love the retro, rustic beach theme.
My only recommendation was the limited silverware, bowls and skillet. We cook a lot and just felt limited options, especially when the house sleeps 10.

The house was very spacious and we had plenty of room for my family of 6. It is a very short walk to the beach. The lowest level was pretty much its own apartment and had a lot of privacy. You have to go downstairs and out the lower level screened-in porch to access the yard for pets. The AC was very cool and comfortable. It had plenty of amenities. We cooked most nights and kitchenware was well stocked. Most rentals have more pantry items but they only had salt and pepper. You have to bring your own paper towels, toilet paper, trash bag and hand soap. They only supply 3 rolls of toilet paper and 2 trash bags for the week and they give you these tiny little bars of soap for washing your hands. The bathroom towels were fine, hotel grade for sure. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed at the beach with the family and our elderly dog. The house was great, very comfortable and handy for the dog with the backyard fenced and private. Cute and useful decorations. Will stay there again!

This was our second time staying here. We loved it! The house is great and was clean. Had everything we needed for the days we were there. Only a short walk to the beach! My dogs loved the back yard and also to sit on the upstairs deck. Looking forward to staying again!

We had a great stay at the Barefoot Turtle. We were located conveniently close to the IPA and just a short walk to the beach. The house perfectly suited our family -- we gave the teens the upstairs and my husband and I had the downstairs. We really appreciated having beach chairs and a wagon to use for going to the shore and loved the grill and bar.
The kitchens could use more silverware and overall items and it didn't appear that the previous guests washed their dishes properly but nothing a good hand washing couldn't fix. I would've also like to have more comfortable seating in the living room.
Overall, we were extremely happy with our stay and plan to be back next year.

This house was perfect for our Easter getaway. Exactly as pictured. The fenced in yard was wonderful for our dogs! We didn't realize how close we were to the beach.. very short walk! No complaints!

This was a great place to stay! Very clean and cute. In a safe area and was quiet after 9 pm. About a 8 minute walk to the beach and you could walk to the local pizzerias, Boulineaus IGA, ice cream stores. I loved sitting out on the wrap around deck and my dogs did as well. Only complaint is that the beds were a bit hard in the twin bedroom and secondary guest room upstairs. Downstairs apartment is great if traveling with parents, another couple that wants their privacy or someone who cannot navigate stairs well, but it does feel a bit like a basement down there since it is cinder block painted walls. Overall we were pleased and will book Barefoot Turtle again in the future.

We had a lovely ocean trip at a lovely ocean themed house in a lovely ocean city. The house was clean and cute and close to the beach. It was a quiet and calm neighborhood. What a lovely trip it was!

Having to wait to pick up the keys until 4pm was unnecessary and set a terrible tone for the vacation. When we arrived in the home it was obvious it had been cleaned for a long time. Simply putting the keys in a lock on the door would've sufficed and could be released as soon as the house was ready. Additionally the "fast lane" was ridiculously long. I realize I should've just waited until after hours to pick up my keys. Additionally the AC was not working in the basement

The Barefoot Turtle was such a nice, quaint place to stay!! We loved everything about it. The location was convenient to the beach esp with the golf cart we rented locally. Such nice, friendly neighborhood. There was plenty of room for our family to spread out and they allow DOGS, so our fur babies got to come also!! We would definitely stay again!!

WE had an awesome time at the Barefoot Turtle. The decor was so quaint and relaxing and retro! Property just as described. Well maintained and clean. The beds we're comfy. My dog loved the fenced in area and outside shower after being at the beach. Sitting areas outside we're great! Would definitely stay again. A wonderful relaxing family fun vacation home. My mother loved the in law suite! Great location to beach and stores.

After being quarantined for a year we wanted to get away and live somewhere else with different views and restaurants to order from.

We thought, why not a beach house? We looked at about 60 houses on AirBnb and my sister suggested VRBO. We liked the barefoot turtle right away. It looked cute, clean with plenty of areas to work. My husband I needed to be able to do remote work. We liked the mother-in-law suite for our 19 year old so he could have privacy to do his remote learning.

The house was just as promised in the pictures. The weather was perfect and we were able to go to the beach every day. It was only a couple blocks away. The internet met our work and schooling needs. Food and groceries were delivered without issue.

My husband did a bit of grilling and we often hung out in the bar area.

At the end of the month we were sad to leave.
