Windy Hill Dunes 1202 - Oceanfront - Windy Hill Section

This was our 2nd time at a north beach property. Similar facilities and layouts for both. Windy hill dunes was a taller building and right on the beach. We were initially disappointed with the cleaning or lack of, the last patrons actually smoked in the non smoking suite and it was obvious. We alerted the staff but, did not get a response for the issues until the next day. I already remedied the situation. After that everything was great. The amenities were available as promised including ramp parking. Most people cannot drive let alone park properly so it took some skill to maneuver if you didn't drive a compact car. Even those folks took 2 spots most times. But condo was quiet, ac was great after a day at the beach, and the beds were surprisingly comfortable.i would recommend it again but, I would do like us and clean when you get there to your liking and clean well before you go.close enough to all attractions but far enough away to not pay the secret resort taxes at every place. Have fun and make sure you work that jacuzzi tub.

The location is great and there was plenty of room in the condo. However, the cleanliness was not good. We planned to cook meals for the week. I had to wash food and grease off the pans in the cabinet before I could use them. They were put up without being cleaned. They need more cooking utensils. One spatula was not enough. We found items under beds...for example, a sock that was not ours, and the baseboards are not being cleaned in areas that are not visible. Elevators were quick which was a plus. It is a great place overall, however, too expensive for a week's stay in the area. The room was not ready at the 4:00 check in time which may explain some of the cleaning issues.

The condo unit was in great shape and was very clean. My family and I (9 adults and 1 child) were very comfortable and loved hanging out in the unit and playing games together. The complex itself was lackluster. The HOA seems to make it difficult for families to vacation here. The pool "security" guard that works the weekends was very rude. He was very strict on following the pool rules (such as having to sit on top of the float in the lazy river and requiring that you have your wristband on you). This made for a stressful time in the pool area as you were constantly being watched (he literally stood watching you). We also were visited in our unit by this man and scolded for having a towel hung on our balcony as this is against the rules. Again, this is an issue with the complex itself and not North Beach Realty. For this reason in future years we will use NBR to find a rental but will be looking at other complexes. When you spend this much money for a vacation you shouldn't be treated like a child. Also, none of the swimming pools/lazy river were heated and were surprisingly cold (so much so that we didn't spend any time in the main pool). I wouldn't think this would have been an issue in June but for some reason the water was still very cold.

We had an ok stay here at windy hill dunes just wished the dishwasher hadn’t of gave problems and had to have people coming in and out for the first 2 days of our stay. And the unit wasn’t to clean.

The Condo was very, very nice and very well appointed. The location was excellent. Parking was convenient. The entire property was well maintained. The only drawback was that the toilets sat low.

As regards the Realty company I have dealt witH North Beach Realty for several years and have always found them to be professional, very responsive and very accommodating.

We had an amazing time in N. Myrtle Beach. The condo was beautiful and the view was absolutely breathtaking. We took advantage of the huge patio and ordered a lot of delivery. We would definitely recommend staying here for some R&R.

My mother and I decided to take a long weekend in myrtle to celebrate her birthday, and we could not have been more pleased with our stay at 1202. The furniture was extremely comfortable, and the location is perfect to not have to travel far to grab dinner or some shopping.
