This was a beautiful home with a view of the beach. The home was clean and the furniture was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked for cooking and eating inside. The building is secure with many amenities including a pool, restaurants and much more! I highly recommend this property!

The good news is that we had a maintenance issue. One of the bathroom sinks was completely stopped up and was full of water. After (unsuccessfully) trying to get the building's maintenance staff to fix it, they sent out a plumber who took care of the issue.

The bad news is that the lineup at 4:00 pm Saturday for checking was well over an hour long. You'd REALLY THINK that some of this stuff could be done ahnead of time over the Internet. I had to sign multiple forms (even though I'd already signed multiple forms over the Internet). I had to present my credit card again (even though I'd already paid the full rental amount by the same credit card). Rather than wait in line for an hour or more, I just left and came back after 5:00 pm, intending to pick up my keys from the lock box. Unfortunately, when you do that, you have to go back to the office on the next business day in order to sign stuff and present credit cards. This is a REALLY BIG negative that one has to go through unnecessarily at the conclusion of a long trip in order to even get to Myrtle Beach.

The property was adequate. It would be helpful to have a notebook of information for renters. There was nothing in this unit for renters to access helpful information. The notebook should include the location of the trash receptacle on each floor, the weekly information regarding the hours for
dining/bar, tiki bar, pool rules/hours. A list of local restaurants with phone numbers and delivery service. Information regarding local television stations.
The beds were comfortable. There were tv’s in both bedrooms. It was nice to have access to Amazon Prime and Netflix on the tv’s. The recliner feature on the sofas was so nice! The seating on the patio was comfortable.
Our experience in this particular unit: the light in the shower area of the
bathroom was so dim that it was difficult to see while showering, one of the lights over the sink in the same bathroom blinked like a strobe light. In that same
bathroom, we saw a couple of small spiders. The artificial plant in that bathroom was very dusty.
We have rented another unit at Maison Sur Mer in the past. We enjoy the convenient location. This particular unit was adequate for us, but we felt that it would have been much better if the lighting in the shower bathroom had been addressed before we arrived and a notebook of information about the amenities offered at Maison Sur Mer had been available. Anytime we needed to know anything for on site amenities, we had to call the front desk.

We've only been here for 5 days, so initial impressions:
1. North Beach Realty very professional. Booking, payment, information all very easy and informative. We love the location, the building is OK. We are a little disappointed in our unit. It is dated, and a little tired. Also not satisfied with the cleanliness. On the surface it looks clean, but when you live in it for a few days you notice lots of areas that have not been cleaned in months or years. eg., under furniture, edges and corners of tiles in bathroom, shower doors.

I’ve stayed in this building many times. The furniture was very nice throughout. However, the bathrooms were not so great. The floors and showers areas could use a deep cleaning. The rugs in the bathrooms were old and ratty. Some outlets didn’t work and one was coming out of the wall. The front door had to be locked to keep it shut. In other words, if I wanted to go down the hall to dump trash I had to lock it because it would open up wide.

This was our 5th time staying at Maisons and once again we were extremely pleased. This unit was our favorite so far! With Covid going on, when we weren't at the beach or pool, we spent alot of time in the condo and on the balcony. It was comfortable for our family of 6. The TV was great for watching family movies every night. It was nice they had sand toys and extra beach chairs to use. We ate in alot and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare our meals. We also felt very safe during our stay. The pool and beach were not over crowded and we were pleased with the precautions Maisons is taking to keep everyone safe while there. We will definitely be staying at Maisons on our next trip to Myrtle Beach!
