Barnett House Top - Oceanfront - Windy Hill Section

This is a great location and is good for large groups with plenty of beds. The back deck is where you should spend most of your time when staying here. We arrived late and found there was one roll of toilet paper for the three bathrooms. I picked some up the next day when I had to sign paperwork in the office. So, be sure to take any common items you may need like a fan for sleeping as the bedrooms were warmer than the common area. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and dishware. Did not have any seasonings like salt or pepper, so bring or buy those. Good place to stay, but it's a little dated and felt like a rental house looking strictly at the bottom line. I'm a short term rental property owner and it's nice to provide simple amenities like box fans, Kleenex and a few things in the cupboards like food seasonings.

This is a great place to visit the beach. Plenty of room and just a few feet from the beach. This house is just a few blocks off highway 17 which makes it convenient to just about everything. I highly recommend this house for a great beach vacation.

We loved our stay. There is lots of room and the unit was very clean. The view was fabulous from the back porch. We loved being right on the beach!

We live ve the Barnett House, perfect for a large family. We can serve 12 people and syy to I’ll have room for a 1000 piece puzzle in progress on table!!

We stayed here for a few days and had a great time. The house was as described and perfect for us. Beach access was amazing!!! The house is full of character and was a great place to put your head down and listen to the ocean.

Our recent family stay at this beach house was delightful. There is a well-stocked kitchen with double stove and double oven which allowed preparation of complete meals for our large family gathering. The seven bedrooms are all attached to a great room with a large, long table where everyone can eat together and a communal living area for socializing. The house location is fabulous with a back porch that looks out over the ocean and beach front. This is a stand-alone house, not a condo and not a hotel. What it lacks in polish and décor, it makes up for with a great layout and its ocean front location.

Check in and check out was a good experience. The dryer wasn’t working and though the mgmt company was prompt in sending maintenance the people they sent were not good and I would subcontract with someone else. The vent pipe was clogged. The first guy didn’t do anything and the second finally agreed that was the problem but said he wasn’t the guy who unplugged vent pipes. We unplugged ourselves well enough to get along. The mgmt offered to pickup and return laundry. So they attempted to be very responsive. The property is fairly rundown but was clean and is an excellent layout to house 16 people. We bought drop cloths at Lowe’s to cover the very old couch.

The location is great, being right on the beach. The home is in need of updates, loose doorknobs, screens in need of repair for a couple. There were ants in the kitchen, we bought traps and they were gone in a couple days. Nothing that spoiled anything, we had a great time.

It was a great location right on the beach. That was fantastic. It had plenty of rooms, very comfortable. Very close to everything. The only bad thing I could say is ceiling fans needed better cleaning. It was a little outdated but there is a very sweet reason for that. Had a great time there oct 2020

We just wish we would have known it was a duplex and not a house...With a house that sleeps so many, the parking was strange having another family downstairs sharing a yard and parking with... just not what we expected.

This was our first time to Myrtle Beach and we managed to land in a great location! The house had everything we needed for our large family. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with every gadget/pot/pan/muffin tin you might need. Two stove tops and 2 ovens allowed the cooks to spread out. Beds were clean but on the soft side. Bathrooms were updated. The outside screened in porch was the best room in the house! View and hear the waves while sitting on the rocking chairs. Perfect way to spend the morning or a rainy day. There was an issue with the washing machine, we called in the AM and it was fixed by dinner time. Very kind and responsive property management! One cannot beat the convenience of being ocean front. While this property is not luxury it is laid back, very clean and functional. We enjoyed our time there and hope to return!
