This Myrtle Beach hot spot will offer a New Year’s Eve party starting at 9 p.m. with live music from the Necessary Band. Presented by Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland Organization at Pelican's Stadium Parking Lot. The following Brookgreen Gardens Holiday Exhibits are on display through December 31, 2011. Signs of the Season in Flora and Fauna – In the Noble Gallery, evergreen trees, wreaths, and plaques decorated with assorted natural materials, along with vintage carousel animal figures add beauty to this exhibit. The Turkey Trot is a program, designed by the Horry County Parks & Recreation, directed towards raising funds for existing and future programs pertaining to Special Needs and Disabilities. This is also a great opportunity for people to experience the living history of farming in Horry County. There’s another trot on Thanksgiving Day. The Surfside Beach Turkey Trot will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, November 24, 2011. The Grand Strand’s best and largest Turkey Trot will start and finish at the Surfside Pier in Surfside Beach, SC with a great view of the Atlantic Ocean! The event will feature a 10K, 5K, 1 mile and a free Kid’s Tot Trot! Staying at Sea Watch Towers Myrtle Beach you’ll be just a short distance from where the trot begins.
