The Turkey Trot is a program, designed by the Horry County Parks & Recreation, directed towards raising funds for existing and future programs pertaining to Special Needs and Disabilities. This is also a great opportunity for people to experience the living history of farming in Horry County.
There’s another trot on Thanksgiving Day. The Surfside Beach Turkey Trot will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Thursday, November 24, 2011. The Grand Strand’s best and largest Turkey Trot will start and finish at the Surfside Pier in Surfside Beach, SC with a great view of the Atlantic Ocean!
