Where to See Fireworks Displays This Month

Do any of us ever get tired of watching fireworks displays? We think not! That’s why they seem to be always going on somewhere around the Grand Strand region and this summer is no exception. No family vacation in North Myrtle Beach would be complete without taking in at least one of the Pelican’s baseball games either! The Myrtle Beach Pelicans Minor League Baseball team will be playing home games in Myrtle Beach this summer with fireworks following these select games, weather permitting. For June the home games will be held from June 3-6, 10-16 and 28-30.. All games start at 7:05 p.m. and are held at BB&T Coastal Field in the heart of Myrtle Beach. We hope to see you there!

The Area is Heating Up with Events

If you’re planning an end of April or early May vacation you’ll be thrilled to know the area is really starting to heat up with exciting local events and activities taking place nearby. From any of the North Myrtle Beach vacation rentals we have ready and waiting for you, you’ll be just a short distance away from them all. Have you ever been to a Dragon Boat Festival? Now’s your chance! Teams of 20 paddlers and one drummer per team will race in the 5th Annual Ground Zero Dragon Boat Festival from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 27 at The Market Common in Myrtle Beach. Ground Zero focuses on providing teenagers with quality events, speakers and clubs in a safe environment. The festival will offer live entertainment, a family-fun zone plus plenty of food and drinks. An anticipated 55 plus boats will compete this year. Maybe baseball is what captures your heart? The Myrtle Beach Pelicans Minor League Baseball team will be playing home games in Myrtle Beach this summer with fireworks following these select games, weather permitting. The last home game in April is on April 28. In May the home games will be held on May 7-13, 21-23 and 25-26. All games start at 7:05 p.m. and are held at BB&T Coastal Field in the heart of Myrtle Beach. For those who have never been to a luau, you’ll have your opportunity when the 8th Annual Makai Luau is held on May 4, 2013 from 6 -10 p.m. at the Hot Fish Club in Murrells Inlet, SC. The ticket only benefit that will feature live music, a fire and hula show from Chief Kamu, a traditional luau buffet, beer and wine beverages, as well as the wildly popular Surfers Punch. There will be prizes for the Ugliest Hawaiian Shirt contest, a Best Lei contest, and more. All proceeds from this event fund the projects of the Grand Strand Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, a grassroots, non-profit, environmental organization that works to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. Events Going on For Valentine's Day

Merry Christmas From Our Family to Yours

With Christmas just a few days away we’d like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas this year. We hope you’ll have an enjoyable time whether you’ll be with family or spending it with friends. Many people travel over the holidays – some going far away while the lucky ones come here to stay in our North Myrtle Beach vacation homes. Kids get pretty wound up this time of year, first in anticipation of Christmas and then afterwards with their presents, candy, and all that time off of school. Be sure to get them out on the beachfront to run off that excess energy. Walk it, bike it, or go for a run – turn it into a beachcombing search for the biggest and best seashell – or play a game of family volleyball. Anything that keeps them moving and out in the fresh air will ultimately calm them and help them sleep that night. And we all know when they sleep soundly, so do you.
