Have you ever wanted to participate in a fun 5K but didn’t know where it would be? Then you might want to check out Ripley’s Aquarium Penguin Dash 5K happening on Saturday, February 15th. Beginning at 9:00 am is where you can join in the first ever Penguin Dash where they will offer a 5K run and a Family Fun 1 Mile Walk/Run. Don’t miss this fun day to enjoy this amazing run that will help us celebrate the newest members of the aquarium the South African Penguins!
Head over to Broadway at the Beach on February 22nd from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm to join in the 19th Annual KidzTime Festival. This event will be featuring over 30 different vendors for you and the kids to enjoy. There will be plenty of live entertainment, face painting, inflatables to jump on and even a petting zoo! This will be the perfect day to spend with the family as you enjoy this free event. Please note that some of the activities will have a fee associated with it but who wouldn’t want to come and enjoy some fun with the kids on your next vacation to North Myrtle Beach?
Inaugural Leap Frog 5K
Did you know that leap year happens only every 4 years? Come celebrate in the Inaugural Leap Frog 5K happening on Saturday, February 29th at 9:00 am. It will be held at Barefoot Landing is one that you don’t want to miss! Don’t want to run the 5K? No problem because there will also be a 1 Mile Fun Run for the family to enjoy. After the race, Lulu’s will be providing the post-race snack and there will be an oyster roast at 11:00 am. Some of the race proceeds will be donated to the North Myrtle Beach Humane Society.

Early Myrtle Beach & The War Years Trolley Tour
Have you ever experienced what Myrtle Beach was like during World War II or even earlier than that? If you haven’t, then we must tell you about the Early Myrtle Beach & The War Years Trolley Tour that is happening on January 7th from 2:00 pm to 4:– pm. Here you and your family will be able to climb aboard a trolley that will take you through some of Myrtle Beach’s oldest areas. You will also visit the Pine Lakes Country Club and H.B. Springs Building all while learning some history too. After the trolley you will be able to enjoy some of the shops and dining that happen to be at The Market Common. What a fun day to spend with the family all while learning more about Myrtle Beach!
South Carolina Restaurant Week at Croissants Bistro &
Beginning on January 9th through 19th your family will be able to participate in Restaurant Week in South Carolina. You can visit both locations of Croissants Bistro & Bakery where you’ll be able to enjoy a 3-Course Chef’s Tasting Menu. The price per person is $20 but you will receive the following choices:
First Course: Cup of French Onion Soup or Petite
Second Course: Shrimp & Grits or Eggs Benedict
Third Course: Any Slice of Cake or Individual
Pastry but it excludes any mini cakes or desserts for two
This can be a great date night or a great way to experience
some of the food around town that you won’t want to miss.
2020 Grand Strand Boat & Sportsman Expo
This year bring the family to the 2020 Grand Strand Boat
& Sportsman Expo at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center. If you have ever
considered purchasing a boat for your family to use on your next vacation or to
use at home, this is the event for you! Not only will you be able to check out
some pretty amazing boats, but you can also check out other outdoor equipment
like kayaks, paddle boards and more. Admission into the event is $9 per adult,
$8 per senior, $5 for children & Free for children under 3. The hours of
the event are from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm on Friday; 9:00 am to 7:00 pm on
Saturday and 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday. Don’t miss this fun event with the family
