Don’t miss the 12th Annual Little River Shrimp Festival being held Saturday, Oct. 8, 2016 from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 9, 2016 from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Historic Little River Waterfront (4460 Mineola Ave, Little River, SC 29566). This 2-day event includes live entertainment, lots of activities for the kids, vendors, fresh shrimp and seafood specialties. If you’re a shrimp lover you’re sure to get your fill at this popular event!

17th Annual Lip-Rippin’ Chilympics Chili Cook-Off on October 9, 2016
This year’s annual Chilympics Chili Cook-Off will be held on Sunday, October 9, 2016, from 11 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Hot Fish Club, King Street Grille, and Morse Park in Murrells Inlet. $1 sample tickets will be sold for chili. Beer from New South Brewing Company will also be available for purchase. There will be a fabulous line-up of live bands for your enjoyment. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. This event draws thousands of residents and visitors to raise money for the Grand Strand Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation, and has become a staple of Grand Strand events. Participants and attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable or canned food item to support the efforts of South Strand Helping Hand.

Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival on Saturday October 15, 2016
This exciting new culinary event at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk celebrates the virtually endless local seafood restaurants in the greater Myrtle Beach area from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 15! Experience a variety of delectable award winning seafood restaurants showcasing their unique seafood interpretations. Enjoy the kid’s area, live entertainment, and a broad selection beer & wine garden. Jim Quick & Coastline Band will be performing from morning to early afternoon. Performers of Carolina Improv Company will take suggestions from the audience about Halloween and other spooky and horrific things and create a haunting comedy show without a script.
