Kids can make noise makers, party hats and explore the museum. At noon there will be an exciting Balloon Drop! Ring in the New Year at Margaritaville! This Myrtle Beach hot spot will offer a New Year’s Eve party starting at 9 p.m. with live music from the Necessary Band. Ring in the New Year while you laugh til you cry at Comedy Cabana’s New Year’s Eve Extravaganza! Mitchell Walters, seen on Showtime, A&E, Comedy Central, NBC and more will perform alongside Cooter Douglas and Greg Lausch. Tickets for a 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. show are available and include party favors, a balloon drop, a gift certificate for a future show, reserved seating and an autographed photo of the comedian. Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland is a one-of-a-kind drive-through Christmas lights and music spectacular from 5-10 p.m. nightly now through December 31, 2011. Guests will drive through a maze filled with hundreds of thousands of LED lights performed in synchronization with Christmas tunes on their radio. Presented by Shadrack's Christmas Wonderland Organization at Pelican's Stadium Parking Lot.
The following Brookgreen Gardens Holiday Exhibits are on display through December 31, 2011. Signs of the Season in Flora and Fauna – In the Noble Gallery, evergreen trees, wreaths, and plaques decorated with assorted natural materials, along with vintage carousel animal figures add beauty to this exhibit. Signs of the Season in Art and History – In the Jennewein Gallery, Christmas trees, art, and furnishings reflecting the holiday celebrations at Brookgreen in the late 19th and early 20th centuries are on display. These exhibits are free with garden admission.
